CAIRO, July 16 , 2018 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed Monday the importance of continuing efforts to develop companies and factories affiliated to the Ministry of Military Production.
Sisi made these remarks during his meeting with Minister of State for Military Production Dr Mohamed El Assar.
He underlined the ministry's role in developing the national economy and industry, as well as meeting the needs of the local market, exporting surplus production and developing military products to cover the needs of the Armed Forces.
The president also stressed the need to boost co-operation between the ministry and major global companies in order to acquire modern technology and open up new horizons in the industry based on the ability to innovate and develop by local capabilities, in addition to establishing development projects to boost the Egyptian economy.
In press statements, Spokesman for the presidency Bassam Rady said the meeting reviewed the comprehensive strategic vision of the ministry in the coming period and the plan to develop factories and companies affiliated to it.
Rady pointed out that Minister Assar briefed President Sisi on the ministry's efforts to co-operate with various ministries and state institutions in different sectors, stressing that the ministry aims to optimise national resources and help state institutions achieve development goals and provide the best services to citizens.
The minister also presented a report on the prospects of co-operation between the ministry and a number of countries, such as Iraq, Russia, Germany and China, in a way that contributes to exchanging expertise between the employees of military production companies and global companies, as well as marketing products of companies affiliated to the ministry in global market, which contributes to increasing the foreign exchange earnings and exports.
CAIRO, July 16 , 2018 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday sent a cable to French President Emanuel Macron to congratulate him on the French soccer team's winning of FIFA world cup for the second time in the team's history.
The president praised the performance of the French squad throughout the tournament, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.
CAIRO, July 16, 2018 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi commended the efforts exerted by India's Bohra spiritual leader, Mufaddal Saifuddin, to renovate old mosques in addition to carrying out charity works.
During a meeting on Monday with Saifuddin and his two sons, the president underlined the historical ties between Egypt and Bohra sect, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.
Saifuddin hailed the progress which Egypt realised at the security and stability levels.
He also extolled religious freedom in Egypt, underscoring the sect's interest in investing in Egypt.
Rady noted that Saifuddin extended LE10 million to Tahya Misr Fund.
CAIRO, July 15, 2018 (MENA) - Head of Syndicate of Journalists Abdel Mohsen Salama thanked President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for his support to freedom of the press and media, which helped to overcome the crisis of the press and media regulation laws in a calm and constructive dialogue between the syndicate on the one hand and the parliament and government on the other.
Salama stressed his full appreciation for the House of Representatives under Ali Abdel Aal and Parliament's Culture and Media Committee under Osama Heikal for approving most of the proposals of the syndicate on the laws regulating the press and media, especially with regard to controversial articles, which the council of the syndicate has highlighted in its meetings to discuss these laws.
He commended Minister of Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Omar Marwan's efforts to bring the points of view between the parliament and the syndicate closer.
CAIRO, July 14, 2018 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi gave directives to continue exerting utmost to make new cities a pioneering model for life in Egypt in line with modern standards.
He stressed the importance of providing means of practicing sports for all the brackets of the society.
These remarks came during the meeting Sisi held with Premier and Housing Minister Moustafa Madboli, Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhi, the Head of the Financial Affairs Authority of the Armed Forces Mohamed Ameen Nasr and representatives of the Engineering Consultants Group (ECG), said presidential spokesman Bassam Rady.
The get-together took up the progress achieved in establishing a number of new cities including the New Administrative Capital, the New Alameen and New Mansora. Other projects including roads and main axes to serve these cities were also mulled.
The youth and sports minister reviewed the progress in constructing sports facilities in the new cities especially in New Alameen city and the New Administrative Capital.
The meeting tackled also the latest developments of establishing zones for integrated services on 60 feddans for each city.
CAIRO, July 9, 2018 (MENA) – President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued numerous decrees for approving the budgets of a number of authorities for the fiscal year 2018-2019.
The budgets include Alexandria port general authority at an amount of LE 1.358 billion, Red Sea ports general authority at an amount of LE 3.785 billion and Damietta port authority at an amount of LE 3.466 billion.
Also, the budgets of the general authority for ports and dry land at an amount of LE 1.327 billion, Egypt Post at an amount of LE 54.506 billion and National Telecom Regulatory at an amount of LE 6.091 billion.
Also, the budgets of Information Technology Industry Development Agency at an amount of LE 1.024 billion, Public Authority Of Supply at an amount of LE 137.020 billion and Cotton Arbitration and Testing General Organization at an amount of LE 212,150 million.
