Vistors flock to Egyptian pavilion at Venice Architecture Biennale
VENICE, Italy, May 27, 2018 (MENA) - The Egyptian pavilion at the Venice Biennale of Architecture witnessed a huge turnout.
In statements on Sunday, Chairman of the National Organisation For Urban Harmony Mohamed Abu Se'da said this is the third straight time for Egypt to participate in the event under the auspices of the organisation.
He said that "Robabikia" was the project that had been qualified to represent Egypt at the exhibition.
The project aims at developing random commercial areas.
He lauded the innovative ideas offered by the Egyptian pavilion with regard to means of making use of free space for display purposes and overcoming risks of random markets.
He said it took nine months of non-stop work to gear up for the event.
Altogether 63 countries are taking part in the exhibition - six for the first time including Saudi Arabia, Guatemala and Lebanon.
