CAIRO, August 17, 2018 - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Friday sent seasonal greetings to members of the Egyptian communities abroad on the occasion of Eid el-Adha (feast of sacrifice), which would start on Tuesday.
In his message, President Sisi, who wished the Egyptians living abroad a very happy feast, wrote that the occasion would be filled with unending love, peace, serenity, and happiness to Egypt and all Egyptians.

MECCA, August 17, 2018 (MENA) - Preparations for Egyptian pilgrims to start Hajj rituals by flocking to Saudi Arabia's Mount Arafat have been completed, Executive Director of Egypt’s Hajj Delegation General Amr Lotfi said on Friday.
Lotfi told MENA that pilgrims will start to converge on Mount Arafat on Sunday, adding that 50 buses have been allocated to transport elderly pilgrims.
He urged pilgrims to follow the instructions of Saudi security personnel and authorities concerned while carrying out Hajj rituals.
CAIRO, August 17, 2018 (MENA) - Deputy Minister of Agriculture for Animal, Fisheries and Poultry Affairs Mona Mehrez asserted that all preparations have been finalized at the ministry's affiliate parks to receive citizens celebrating Eidul Adha.
In statements to MENA on Friday, Mehrez said that the ministry has outlined a detailed plan to address the overcrowding and deal with possible emergencies.
Parks will open their doors to the citizens in the early hours of Tuesday, the first day of Eidul Adha.
Large quantities of rotten meat, poultry and fish, which are unfit for human consumption, have been seized during the last period nationwide, Mehrez noted.
The Agriculture Ministry spares no effort to control the markets, she said.
She stressed the importance of maintaining coordination among governors to facilitate slaughtering services at the governmental abattoirs.
CAIRO, August 17, 2018 (MENA) – Egyptian Minister of Immigration and Expatriates' Affairs Nabila Makram discussed on Friday with Communications and Information Technology Minister Amr Talaat means of activating technology in a way that serves Egyptian nationals abroad.
The meeting, attended by chairman of Egypt Post Essam el Sagheer, tackled ways to facilitate procedures for Egyptian expatriates to make cash transfers in an easy way, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology said in a statement.
The statement noted that the cash transfer services are finalized via more than 4,000 post office branches across the country.
During the meeting, Makram said a large number of Egyptian expatriates will benefit from the external instant transfers service; since it provides competitive challenges for them and their families.
In the same regard, the communications minister said the service comes within the framework of Egypt Post’s strategy to enhance its role in serving citizens.
MARSA MATROUH, Egypt, August 17, 2018 (MENA) - As many as 757 Egyptians returned home from Libya via Salloum Crossing in the past 24 hours, Marsa Matrouh security chief Hesham Nasr said in a statement on Friday.
Out of all the returnees, 147 Egyptians had illegally travelled to Libya, he added.
Meanwhile, travel procedures for 1,521 persons, including 265 Egyptians and 1,256 Libyans, have been finalised, he noted.
