CAIRO, August 25, 2018 (MENA) - Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Sharawy on Saturday banned the movement of tuk-tuks (auto rickshaws) on main roads and highways.
The decision included defining the routes that should be used by drivers of tuk-tuks.
The decision also included easing difficulties facing tuk-tuks' drivers who are seeking to obtain driving licences.
MARSA MATROUH, Egypt, July 12 , 2018 (MENA) - Eight people were killed and 17 others injured after a bus collided with a truck on Alexandria-Matrouh highway.
Marsa Matrouh security chief Hisham Nasr was notified by Ras el-Hikma Hospital for Emergency and Relief that the hospital had received the bodies of eight victims along with 27 persons who were wounded in the accident.
The prosecution was notified to start investigations into the accident.
MIAMI, March 15, 2018 - A newly installed pedestrian bridge over a six-lane highway in Miami on a college campus collapsed Thursday, crushing a number of cars below and reportedly leaving several people dead.
The Miami Herald reported that an unknown number of people were trapped underneath the collapsed walkway, which connected Florida International University to a student housing area.
The Florida Highway Patrol said several people were killed, according to US networks.
Television imagery from the scene showed a crane being moved into position where the bridge lay in sections across Southwest Eighth Street.
