CAIRO, June 12, 2018 (MENA) - President of Cairo University Mohamed Osman El Khosht met on Tuesday with Kazakh Ambassador in Cairo Arman Isagaliev.
The meeting tackled ways of boosting cooperation between Cairo University and the universities in Kazakhstan.
Khosht said that the university welcomes cooperation with Kazakhstan in the educational and research fields as well as cultural exchange, stressing the depth of ties between Egypt and Kazakhstan.
He pointed out that Cairo University seeks to cooperate with research entities in Kazakhstan in the agricultural, industrial and energy domains.
Meanwhile, Isagaliev asserted the historic relations between the two countries, adding that Egypt is a strategic and main partner for Kazakhstan.
He said that he is looking forward to further cooperation with Egypt in the educational and research fields, adding that his country has unique specializations in the space studies.
CAIRO, April 25, 2018 - Egypt's Minister of Tourism Rania El-Mashat held a meeting on Wednesday with representatives of Kazakhstan’s tour operators to discuss ways of increasing tourist flights between Egypt and Kazakhstan.
The meeting was attended by Red Sea governor Ahmed Abdullah and South Sinai governor Khaled Fouda. It followed Egypt’s participation in the Kazakhstan International Exhibition “Tourism and Travel” – KITF which was held in Almaty from April 18 to 20.
Minister El-Mashat told a press conference that the Kazakhstan market was one of the most promising markets for Egypt.
Kazakhstan’s tour operator representatives said that there were 19 tourist flights between the two countries every week. They added that they were ready to increase the flights from the Red sea destinations, such as Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada, to Almay and Astana and vice versa.
HURGHADA, Egypt, April 21, 2018 (MENA) – Red Sea Governor Ahmed Abdullah and Kazakhstan's culture minister agreed to operate two new flights between Egypt and Kazakhstan.
In a press release, the governor said the first flight between Astana and Hurghada will be operated in May while the second flight will be operated in June to link Hurghada and Shymkent.
The two flights are expected to attract more tourists to Egypt especially the Red Sea Governorate, he added.
The governor, who is currently visiting Astana, met a number of officials in which they discussed means of fostering bilateral relations in tourism field.
Cairo, March 27 – The Embassy of Kazakhstan will organise a cultural week in Cairo from April 11 to 14 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the capital, Astana.
As part of the celebration, a music concert will be held at Sayed Darwish theatre at the Alexandria Opera House, while another concert will be held in the Cairo Opera House on April 14. Both concerts will be led by the famous Kazakh violinist Aiman Mussakhajayeva, president of the Kazakh National University of Arts. The concerts will be free of charge for the public, according to the statement.
The statement added that during the two concerts, the audience will watch the 18-year-old genius composer and pianist Rakhat-Bi Abdysagin, dubbed “Kazakh Mozart", who is the winner of numerous international competitions and author of more than 100 compositions, including symphonies.
CAIRO, March 5 (MENA) - Kazakh Ambassador in Cairo Arman Issagaliyev praised the new investment law which, he said, encourages foreign investments and allows Egyptian businessmen to do their businesses freely away from government bureaucracy.
Speaking to MENA, the diplomat said both Egypt and Kazakhstan have taken big strides over the past few years to create an investment-magnet climate.
As for trade exchange between the two countries, he said Kazakhstan is Egypt's gateway to the Eurasian Economic Union that groups Russia, Belarus, Armenia and Kazakhstan, with a total Gross Domestic Product of 2.2 trillion dollars.
But the size of trade exchange between the two countries does not level up to the potentials both countries enjoy, he added.
As Kazakhstan is one of Egypt's biggest wheat exporters, the country is planning to invest in setting up wheat silos at the ports of Safaga and Suez.
He said Kazakhstan will support Egypt in the Free Trade Area negotiations with the Eurasian Economic Union.
He made clear that Egyptian medicine is much favoured in the Kazakh market because of its high quality and affordable price.
As for tourism, he said Kazakhstan ranks second in terms of the number of tourists visiting Sharm el Sheikh next to Ukraine.
Kazakhstan operates 15 flights weekly and the number will increase this month with the start of charter flights to the cities of Hurghada and Aswan, he added.
