CAIRO, June 12, 2018 (MENA) - Cairo Governor Atef Abdel Hamid received on Tuesday at his office Anba Daniel, Secretary-General of the Holy Synod of the Coptic Orthodox Church as well as Archbishop Sergius Sergius, Undersecretary of the Coptic Orthodox Church.

The Coptic Orthodox Church delegation was sent by Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese to offer greetings over Eid el-Fitr festival.

These mutual visits that are exchanged throughout the year between Muslims and Christians in all occasions express great love and reflect coexistence between fabrics of the society, away from protocols or official ceremonies, Abdel Hamid said.

During the visit, Abdel Hamid asserted the depth of feelings that reflect the essence of the Egyptian tolerant spirit, a fact that has always enabled the homeland to overcome obstacles and hardships.
