Egypt shares deepen losses
CAIRO, September 13, 2018 - Egypt's shares deepened losses on Thursday on the back of non-Arab selloffs.
The benchmark index EGX30 fell by1.16 per cent to15,308.62 points.
The broader indices EGX70 and EGX100 plunged 0.59 and 1.07 per cent to 742.74 and 1,900.13 points respectively.
Volume totaled LE750.9 million (around $42.2million), market data showed. The market capitalisation fell by LE9.8 billion to LE849.63 billion.
Non-Arab investors were net sellers of LE44.53 million, market data showed. Locals and Arabs were net buyers ofLE24.9 million and LE19.59 million respectively.
The EGX50and EGX20 Capped indicesshed1.79 and 1.15per cent to 2,450.74 and 14,866.69 points respectively. Of a total 180 traded stocks 20 shares rose, 114 fell, 46 remained unchanged, market data showed.
