Trial of Shorouk kid abductors starts Saturday
CAIRO, Aug 20, 2018 (MENA) - North Cairo Criminal Court will hold on Saturday the first session of the trial of the eight defendants charged with kidnapping a child in Shorouk city.
The defendants were referred to the criminal court after the public prosecution accused them of kidnapping a seven-year-old boy, holding him by force for five days and possessing weapons.
In July, Samy Hesham Fayez was kidnapped by a black car with dark windows while he was inside the car of his mother’s friend, who was picking him up from school.
Later, the boy’s grandfather received a call from someone asking for LE 2.5 million as ransom but the police managed to foil the abduction operation and bring back the child.
