Arab FMs to convene Thursday to discuss Israeli aggression
CAIRO, May 16, 2018 (MENA) - The Arab League announced that it will hold an extraordinary session on Thursday at the level of Arab foreign ministers at the headquarters of the AL General Secretariat to discuss the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people.
In statements on Wednesday, AL Assistant Secretary General Hossam Zaki said that the meeting will be held upon a request of Saudi Arabia, which is the current chairman of the Arab Summit.
The meeting will discuss means of adopting a unified Arab stance towards Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people, Zaki said.
The AL Council is scheduled to hold an extraordinary session later today at the level of permanent delegates upon a request of the Palestinian side to take an action against the illegal US decision related to Al Quds (the occupied East Jerusalem).
Today's meeting comes upon a request of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Foreign Minister Riyad al Malki, said Palestinian ambassador to Egypt and its permanent delegate to the Arab League Diab al Louh.
