CAIRO, June 4, 2018 (MENA) - Egypt's Exchange indices went down collectively at the close of Monday's trading session amid selling operations by domestic and Arab institutions.
The market capital lost about EGP 11.7 billion to hit EGP 927.6 billion amid transactions that hit EGP 1.2 billion.
The EGX 30 benchmark index went down 1.63 percent reaching 16,404.33 points.
The broader EGX 70 index of the leading small and mid-cap enterprises (SMEs) dropped 1.54 percent, standing at 831.74 points.
The all-embracing EGX 100 index decreased by 1.61 percent, recording 2,120.09 points.
CAIRO, April 16, 2018 (MENA) - The US dollar exchange rate rose at a number of local banks on Monday.
The dollar has been stable around LE17.57 for buying and LE17.67 for selling at the National Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr.
The dollar exchange rate added LE0.02 to LE17.64 for buying and LE17.74 for selling at Commercial International Bank (CIB).
At Banque Du Caire, the price stood at LE17.59 for buying and LE17.69 for selling.
CAIRO, March 27 (MENA) - Recent meetings of the Egyptian-UAE committee contributed to removing obstacles facing trade exchange between the two countries, said the head of the exhibitions committee of the Federation of Egyptian Industries.
In statements to MENA, Bahaa Demitry said removing obstacles was vital for Egyptian manufacturers in view of the comparative advantage which Egyptian products enjoy in Arab states, especially the UAE.
Egyptian manufacturers are keen to export products that conform to international quality specifications so as to open new markets, he noted.
Meanwhile, he praised decisions issued by Trade Minister Tarek Kabil and which would help improve the quality of local products.
