Cairo, June 17, 2018 (News Wires) - Egypt’s revenue from the Suez Canal for the 2017-2018 financial year rose 11.5 per cent to a record high $5.585 billion, the canal authority said in a statement on its website on Sunday.

Revenue a year earlier was $5.008 billion, it said.

The canal authority announced Saturday increased revenue in May, and predicted a record yearly figure, attributing this to increased international trade and improvements in the shipping industry.

ISMAILIA, Egypt, June 11, 2018 (MENA) - Forty-four ships transited the Suez Canal on Monday, with a total cargo of 2.3 million tons.

The north-bound convoy included 13 vessels carrying 700,000 tons, while the south-bound convoy included 31 ships laden with 1.6 million tons, according to statistics of the Suez Canal Authority.

ISMAILIA, Egypt, June 5, 2018 (MENA) - Forty-nine ships transited the Suez Canal on Tuesday, with a total cargo of 2.6 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 27 vessels carrying 1.3 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 22 ships laden with 1.3 million tons, according to statistics of the Suez Canal Authority.

ISMAILIA, Egypt, June 3, 2018 (MENA) - Forty-one ships transited the Suez Canal on Sunday, with a total cargo of 2.9 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 21 vessels carrying 1.6 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 20 ships laden with 1.3 million tons, according to statistics of the Suez Canal Authority.

ISMAILIA, Egypt, May 18 (MENA) – Fifty-two ships passed through the Suez Canal on Friday, with a total cargo of 3.7 million tons, said chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish.

The south-bound convoy included 26 vessels carrying 2.2 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 26 ships laden with 1.5 million tons, he added.

ISMAILIA, May 13, 2018 - Sixty-two ships transited the Suez Canal on Sunday carrying a total of 4.3 million tonnes, in cargo.
The south-bound convoy included 29 vessels carrying 2.4 million tonnes, while the north-bound convoy included 33 ships laden with 1.9 million tones, said chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish.
