Egyptian Exchange ends in red for 3rd day in row
CAIRO, JULY 08, 2018 - The Egyptian Exchange ended Sunday's sessions in red for the third day in a row, driven by sell-off by local institutions and local investment funds.
The benchmark EGX30 dropped 1.77 per cent to close at 15,839.84 points.
The small and mid-cap index EGX70 slipped 1.94 per cent, or 15.52 points, to close at 784,71 points, and the broader index EGX100 went down 2 per cent, closing at 1,993.30 points.
Market capitalisation lost LE 13.9 billion, recording LE 884.59 billion, compared to LE 898.51 billion in Thursday’s session.
Egyptian, Arab and foreign individuals were net buyers at LE 131.57 million, LE14.82 million and LE2.9 million, respectively.
