Update: Egyptian Stocks gain on positive sentiment
CAIRO, June 3, 2018 - The Egyptian Exchange gained Sunday LE9 billion driven by purchases from local and Arab investors amid positive sentiment after President Abdel Fattah El Sisi had started his second presidential term.
The stocks' main index EXG30 rose 1.59 per cent to close at 16,675.31 points. The small and medium index EGX70 rose slightly by 0.25 per cent to close at 844.76 points.
Meanwhile, the broader index EGX 100 was up 0.77 per cent to close at 2,154.78 points.
An official at a securities company, said that most of the stocks recovered their last week losses.
